On me, any itching is yeast related. Are you eating carbs (feeds yeast)? Keep a journal to see what you are putting in and on your body. I couldn't take certain soaps, shampoos and toothpastes. Read the label on everything. I couldn't take xyletol, or any other type of alternative form of sugar.
Fighting yeast requires balance between yeast killers and putting good bacteria/yeast back into your body. Kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut, yogurt, kefir all help. Your body needs probiotics to help balance the yeast. If you've truly cleaned up your diet, then you probably need more probiotics. It took me a long time to figure this one out. Start upping them slowly. Many people need and take several hundred billion a day.
Also, make sure you're getting your rest. Rest kills yeast too.

Hmm are you sure it's a yeast issue? The reason I ask is that I was told by a specialist a long time ago that my 'burning mouth' (including tongue) was due to dry mouth. I realize you're asking about the tip of your tongue -which might be caused by neuropathy? Neuropathic pain can feel itchy too at the 'milder' stages. Just a thought.

I'd love to know what that strange feeling on the tongue is too. It's not itchy, but it burns and tastes metallic. It's worse with dry mouth. I never had it before my AB treatment, and it got worse after the ABs concluded.
Are you on doxycycline at all? My tongue itched like crazy when I was first taking that, but it wasn't yeast.
