Hi, i recently had to take clinda for a staph issue. 2 10 day cycles about 2 weeks ago. i was experiencing a hamstring injury, and i noticed on the clinda my hamstring pain got so much worse , like burning burning pain and it started hurting on the insertion points behind the knee to the point i could hardly walk with out almost crying.
i also had more pain in my body that i had experienced. i feel like it was the clinda. my symptoms are not much better since i stopped it.
i called 2 pharmacists and they said its not known for tendon problems, but when i googled it , it seems that there are some who think clinda caused muscle and tendon pain.
iw ish i would have researched this more when i was taking it. has anyone else felt this too? no c diff, just loss of appetite. any feedback would be great to ease my mind a bit that the clinda didnt ruin my hamstring.

I took oral clindamycin for fibro pain and it worked for me - took down the joint pain and muscle pain, almost to zero, so it was treating. Maybe it kicked it all up for you.
My guess would be, as I'm not a doctor, that it doesn't sound like a very good match for you. You could try something else for staph next time, and in the meantime, I hope you recover from this episode, and find treatments that work better for your Lyme situ.
