I seem to have trouble with chlorella, charcoal and now apple pectin.

Within minutes of taking an AP capsule I started feeling nauseaous, dizzy, anxious and "out of sorts".

In the past when I took Burbur that did not happen. But who knows about now.

Can one do herbals for detoxing - at least for awhile? Then try binders?

I am not quite sure of the differences.

For Abx all I am taking now is low dose Doxy.

What about Sarsaparilla as a detox? OK to take with Doxy? Any other herbal detox remedies that perhaps do not have too much of a diuretic effect? TIA.

FWIW after taking chlorella it took me days to "recover". That scared me very badly. I hope it does not take days to recover from one AP capsule.

Detox aides mobilize toxins, binders prevent re-absorption of the toxins from the elimination pathway (i.e., gut).

Have you tried citrus pectin?

Tks Razzle. No have not tried citrus pectin.

I have to avoid citrus and things that irritate the bladder. Don't know if citrus pectin would be a no-no. ?

The one AP capsule "reaction" seems to be subsiding.

The chlorella "reaction" scared me so badly - and I had that feeling again - like "oh - I so wish I had not taken that" and "will this pass or did I just mess things up seriously".

So one really needs mobilizers with binders as chasers?

Does Sarsaparilla/Smilax mobilize? I cannot remember its detoxing actions. What happens when a mobilizer is taken without following up with binders? Are the toxins still eliminated - for example in urine?

Some people are allergic to chlorella. I've read about it...

How about drainage remedies? Some people seem to like them.

My understanding is that water-soluble toxins can be eliminated through urine and sweating, but fat-soluble toxins need to be "bound up" with a binder to carry them out of the body. Most Lyme toxins are fat-soluble.

Liposomal glutathione does help convert fat-soluble toxins to water soluble toxins.

I know a couple of people who are allergic to chlorella as well. There are many other binders you could try. Here is a youtube video about binders:

My ND says drainage remedies are important, but you still need a way to get rid of the fat soluble toxins as part of the whole detox process.

Tks. What about the timing - as in how soon the binders bind to the toxins? Does the "mess" then just stay in the GI area waiting to be eliminated? The sooner the better? Time it to be like that? Maybe take some magnesium to hurry it out of the body?

How about psylium? Some people do enemas & colonics, too. Magnesium & vit. C also help. There are also of herbal laxitives like senna & aloes. Prune juice & fiber are useful. These are just some simple remedies.

There are many kinds of detox diets & fasts you can try also. Some people do more complicated things to get the toxins out. It's a big topic.

How about saunas?

It's good to take binders away from active killing herbs, supplements & drugs. They can absorb the active ingredients, too. 2-3 hours away is probably safe.
