Hi all, I'm on cefpo, tindamax and just started bactrim three days ago. I've had soreness in the past but never this bad. It's a deep, awful sore pain in my neck, shoulders, back and belly. I'm certain it's a result of the bactrim. Have any of you had herxes with these symptoms?

Sounds famiilar...like Bactrim is flaring some Babs symptoms.

If its Babs its a long battle. Have you taken Mepron yet?

No, I still get to look forward to that:((((((
I've been on abx for almost a year now. I was feeling lots better until I started this crap (bacterium). So, gmb, you know what I mean about this intense inner pain/soreness in those areas?

My neck and shoulders are hurting right now too. I think I'm having a flare.

Nothing seems to help. Anti-inflammatories don't help, Lyrica doesn't help...it's just a deep inner pain/soreness. I know what you mean.

lax mom, that's exactly how my pain is. What are you being treated for and taking now? Thanks for sharing.

Yes, my shoulders got so sore during my first round of babs treatment (about 1.5 yrs after starting treatment) that I couldn't pull a sweatshirt over my head. I never had any shoulder pain with my early Lyme/Bbs symptoms prior to starting ABX.

Finally, within the last six months, all joint pain and stiffness has resolved, and my neck no longer sounds like rice krispies. Only neuro, GI issues, and brain fog related symptoms remain.

I've been treating for 3 years. There is hope...

I have the neck and shoulders pain just like that! Sometimes it feels like I have someone sitting on my shoulders all day long! Is that a sign of Babesia? Not tried anything other than doxy and tinidazole.

I do believe I read that this is a sign of babesia. I read that the belly pain can be a sign of bartonella also. That evening after the painful day, I also had these sharp little stinging pains pop up several times deep in my legs and side. I'd like to think it was the lyme DYING! [Smile] Now, today it's more like emotional herxing - nervousness and irritability. I guess the bactrim is really hitting something hard. It's hard to stick with it when you feel so bad though, but I plan to. Hopefully it will let up!!
