I haven't taken septra alone, but I take Bactrim DS and when I first started it, insomnia/anxiety/ocd were major symptoms of a pretty bad herx. It calmed down after about 10 days or so. That herx started in the 2nd week of taking it and I had to rely on a lot of OTC stuff to get some rest (valerian, ashwagandha, melatonin, benadryl, etc.).
