Hi all! I've been in treatment for 8 months now. I've never had any neuro symptoms other than a some strange brain zaps and panic attacks.

In the past month or so, i've developed some very odd feelings in my head. I have a TON of pressure, I feel dizzy on and off and my vision seems to be off at times, like the room is swaying slightly. I literally feel like i'm losing my mind.

This far into treatment, has this happened to anyone else? Believe me, this disease is awful, but i'd take back some of my other symptoms that improved over this craziness in my head. I seriously wonder if I have a brain tumor. Does anyone else feel like this?

Sorry to sound like a whiny thing, it's just driving me insane. And no position alleviates the head pressure. It's really starting to make me crazy. My llmd says it's the lyme in my brain and to continue forward with detox and abx. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi,being a brain tumor survivor myself I acn say that alot of the lyme and co's symptoms are very similar.

After suspecting I had Lyme disease after having the tumor removed I thought it was a new tumor developing.

So yes I see how you feel like this.
8 months and symptoms getting worse is on par with my treatment and how it progressed.
If it settles the question, you could always have a scan done to eliminate the possibility of a tumor.
Brain tumors are rare, lyme and its buddies bart etc. are way more common I believe.
The panic attacks are a classic symptom of what we are all here experiencing so I would really try and stay focused and continue with your protocol.
Are you seeing a LLMD?
They should advise you as to what to do.
In the meantime I hope you find some relief, this can get better with good treatment.

Have you started any new meds?

Each time you take a new med, you can expect to feel terrible for a while, but then eventually better. That's because the new med is killing germs that the previous med couldn't kill. So, it is a herx reaction.

Do all of your detox techniques--lemon water, glutathione, Alka-Seltzer Gold, etc. It should help. Drink lots and lots of water to flush out the dead germs.

Perhaps it is something related to the meds such as Candidas? Do you treat for yeast?

It sounds like Babs though....Perhaps you were bitten again?

Yeast can also cause the brain fog and the dizzies and clogged ears. And as time goes on, the longer you are on abx, the worse the yeast gets (regardless of your diet IMHO).

Hi
7 months into treatment I had the same thing happen. It was then I was diagnosed with babs and bart. Are you being treated for co infections? Ice packs are the only thing I have found to give me some relief from that awful head pressure. Hang in there-this has gotten better for me with treatment.

Ah, that makes sense diddogs. Babs gave me the worst neruo symptoms.

Treating for parasites helped get rid of neuro symptoms the most for me.

catgirl-did you treat for co-infections first or parasites? I did four months of mepron/zith for babs but thats not same as treating for parasites, correct? We think bart is causing my neuro symptoms but how do you really know? ugh!

Thank you everyone! Definately not bitten again being I barely leave the house and have no animals to bring anything in.

My doc has mentioned babs to me recently. It's what he suspects. I started doxy in addition to bactrim about 2 months ago. At first it seemed okay, then wham!!! Major herx!! So severe that my doc told me to start out with 1 every other day and continue to increase.

I just ordered a detox tea that he recommended from someone and I can't think of the name of it at the moment (love brain fog). He also recommended epsom salt baths every other day and the infrared sauna if I could find one.

I asked about salt/c but he said we should try the detox routes first and give them a bit of time before moving forward and trying that route. He says it has its pros and cons. But from what i've read here, many say they improved after the salt/c because their parasites were treated.

This is all so crazy, who knows what it is! lol I just know I want it gone.

Didogs, thank you for the ice pack recommendation. I'm going to give it a try when it gets really bad. It's like all the sinuses in my head locked up and aren't moving. Like my head will explode at any moment.

Well thank you everyone. Even though it's crummy, it's nice to know i'm not crazy and not alone. :-)

Didogs, I was treated for co infections first. Ideally though, I think parasites should be treated first. Aside from Dr. K. practitioners, the rest of the lyme specialists are just now starting to realize that parasites could be a problem.

I never knew which co infections caused my neuro, but learned as my symptoms subsided while treating babs that it was primarily, if not singly from babs.

I am not sure the mepron or zith hits parasites very well. Those meds are not normally prescribed for parasites. Things like salt/c protocol, humaworm, parastroy, ivermectin, etc, hit parasites.

There is a great thread on here called PARASITE WARRIORS THREAD that has lots of info on it. We are all learning from each other (great thing)!

Jessig627 - some of my first symptoms were from babesia - suffocating feeling, anxiety and then finally panic attacks.

Babesia can also cause night sweats, fatigue, headaches, low blood pressure, etc.

Lyme rarely comes alone. IgeneX has great tests that can identify babesia, including the FISH test.
