Hi, I was prescribed Bicillin by my doctor and I in no way can afford it, I have been told by a few people that the veterinarian version is and will do the same thing. Can anyone that has tried the kind for animals like Dura-pen or others please tell me how they did with it. I know this is a controversial subject and if you don't want to post your experiences, can you please PM me? Thanks

My reservations about the vet/animal version would be the formaldehyde in it. I think all the vet PenG has it in it. But worth checking out. Maybe some don't. I don't know the amount used and how bad it would be to use. re: the formaldehyde
You have to wonder though - if all the vet PenG's are created equal. ie the ones bought "OTC" vs the ones given to our animals by the vets.
I don't how often PenG is prescribed for cattle and horses. But if given to expensive, much loved horses - and cattle? - one has to wonder.
Bicillin is also given to rabbits for abcesses FWIW.
