I keep coming across this term....and i think this is what my gait is like, especially off abx. If you do/did this, can you describe the feeling?
Thanks!

Ever see a zombie movie where the monster seems to move almost normally with one leg and the other is a bit behind or even a bit draggy?
My right leg seems to move more stiffly and a tad more slowly than my left, leaving me to list a bit to the left at times.
When my vertigo kicks in on top of that, watch out!
Fortunately, having been maladroit (nice word for really clumsy) much of my life, I've learned to find the humor in it usually. My family calls the klutzy moments my "Lucy" moments after I Love Lucy.

- This can also be called myoclonus and it's very common with lyme. I'm no stranger to that.
It can also involve the (inner / middle ear) vestibular and the proprioceptive systems (all of which can also be just clobbered with lyme).
Vestibular training is very important along the way but ONLY with a LL physical therapist specifically trained in vestibular rehabilitation.
This would be to learn a new way to stay safe when balance and motor skills are off. I had to learn how to use my eyes in a whole other way - and how to pay attention to the bottom of my feet, etc.
Do you have a LLMD yet? Ask for a referral for a LL vestibular therapist -- as part of the plan.
How much and what kind of magnesium are you taking? You may need to switch type or frequency. And you may need to add taurine.
Fish oil, too? -

I do not have llmd yet. I am only beginnng in this diagnosis trying to figure out if i have it or something else. I do have plans to see an llmd soon as it is becoming clear to me that i do. Thats why i was asking about the lurch and what does it mean?
Does anyone feel like when they stand or walk that their head and shoulders are so heavy, it is hard to walk? I just started taking some magnesium.
I was at dentist yesterday and found out the asst AND the dentist daughter has lyme ( its so rare here in south huh?). Anyway i began describing my symptoms and the asst began to tear up...as if it was bringng back memories. She said keep going ...dont let them tell you false pos.
