How do you test adrenal function? I think my adrenals are not functioning well, that some of my symptoms may be related to that? My LLMD is ignoring this and all my other symptoms. I need to find another LLMD but in the meantime I feel like I am directing my own treatment. I am overwhelmed.

you need to do the 24 hour saliva cortisol test, also test aldosterone and renin, sodium and potassium.

Don't eat foods high in sodium before testing aldosterone and certain meds can affect results( I don't remember which ones)

Yes, the saliva test is good. I believe Diagnos-Techs has a good one. The name of the lab may have changed. Not sure.

p4lyme, I posted this on another thread:

I had cortisol saliva testing done through Aeron Lab http://www.aeron.com/

I do have adrenal fatigue. Based on my results, my doctor prescribed supplements. They are definitely helping.

Ellen101, did you have saliva testing done?

I take four supplements: Adapten-All, Adreset, SedaLin, and Adrene-Vive. My doctor ordered these based on my test results.
