Hard to believe. Swollen joints turned into severe pain, now fatigue. CRP 2.7 (above normal) in just 3 months & ESR climbed straight up too. Can't afford former LLMD so I have clindy and flagyl left from last year so I'm gonna rotate them every 10 days. Does anyone have an opinion?

I don't think it ever went away if it's come back every year.

A CRP of 2.7 isn't bad. Mine is 18.

If I were to self treat, it would be with herbs.

Take them everyday if you want results. What will you do when you run out?

Hang here awhile and learn things you can do to self-treat.

I'm with Lax, I'd go for herbs.

I guess I find an extra $250 somehow after these run out. Luckily I still have lots of Nystatin. I have enough doxy but I took it for 2 rounds the first two times for about 2-3 months so I don't know if it would work. That's all the abx I have left. Opinions on the doxy and if I should even try taking it again?

I'd skip doxy and do herbs too (GSE, samento, banderol, teasel). If you can get to a good ND they are often far cheaper than an LLMD. They could get you on the right path...

I can't see a limited amount of abx being effective, especially if you used them before and your symptoms came back. If the therapy didn't work once, it won't work again.

Here is the cowden protocol http://www.nutramedix.ec/ns/lyme-protocol

Also try http://buhnerhealinglyme.com/

If attempting to do on your own it is important to know what all symptoms are of lyme disease and the co infections are and also what bartonella rashes look like . It will make things easier on your self .

Co Infections are usually treated first bartonella before babesia

To make sure you are attacking the different forms of lyme Disease , bacteria come in 3 forms: Spirochete, Cyst, and Cell Wall Deficient

Each form has different characteristics and vulnerabilities

Also look into understanding CD57 test from labcorp .

Can check out Dr B guidelines http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/109735

Do NOT take doxy that is more than one year old!!! It becomes toxic at that point.
