I take 1 gram of fish oil per day (that is the EPA and DHA total 1000 mg).
I take 4 - 82 gram slow release magnesium tablets per day.
I like both of these supplements and would be afraid to stop.

Boy, am I out of it. I take 4 grams (4000 mg) fish oil too. That fish oil must not be helping my mental clarity any today. Posts: 2387 | From New England | Registered: Aug 2011

A psychiatrist wrote a wonderful book on healing these issues.
The chapter on fish oil recommends 6 to 9 capsules per day. I'm taking 6 to 8, and boy without them I am a mess.
I take 400 mg. of magnesium oxide per day.
The book by the psychiatrist is called: The Instinct to Heal.

Rivendell.. make that mag glycinate or something more absorbable and you'll be getting somewhere!

Mag oxide is not well absorbed, mag glycinate is. Mag oxide is best used as a stool softener.
