I have had a couple of Bile Duct strictures. One about four years ago and another one now. They are totally baffled why I have them as there are about 3 causes - cancer, chronic pancreatitis and damage from a gallbladder removal. I don't have chronic pancreatitis, and I haven't had my gallbladder removed. They want to check for cancer, but I don't think that would be it as I had a stricture four years ago and I would think I would be worse off if it was cancer.

I saw that a very tiny percentage can have certain infectious causes. So, I'm wondering if it might be the Lyme?

Maybe it's parasites. They love the bile ducts (flukes). They don't show up on imaging.

JBS - I'm a bit slow. what do you mean by by BIle Duct Stricture? How does it effect you?

I'm curious because I have had some issues with my pancreas (or something in that area). I believe I got a strep infection after a procure where they looked in my pancreas. My doc told me that an infection could not survive in the pancreas due to the enzymes. he said there could be something in the ducts.

He put me on high doses of his Liver detox formula, the pain was gone for a while, but it did return eventually.

I have a dilated bile duct. Had gi issues for years prior to lyme diagnosis. Also had gall bladder removed. All of the same pains started again about two weeks into bartonella treatment.

Just had a full workup by gi doc and of course everything looked normal except for dilated duct, which she said isn't enough to be concerned about. She feels all of this gi pain as well as weight loss are due to bartonella.

Do you all have pain also?

My LLMD which follows Dr K said that parasites get into the bile ducts. She uses some of Dr K protocol. Have not started it yet. She said the latest stuff he I'd using are MMS enemas. But it is just a few drops in like two litters of water. This will clear the bile ducts. I will be trying it shortly.

Haley, yes it's all confusing to me as we'll. I do know that our liver, pancreas, bile duct and gallbladder are all part of the system. I'm no docto, but can't see how enemas can help. That would affect colon and intestines. Bile ducts and related areas are accessible through endoscopic going down from mouth to the biliary system.

Didogs, what did your dr suggest how to treat dilated bile ducts?
I wonder if they could do a biopsy of the duct and see if there are Lyme/ Bartonella strains? With the bile duct stricture I have had stones in bile duct. Pain on right side and up my right back side. First time I lost 40 pounds because of pain.

Unfortunately, she had no answers. Felt like once infections were treated, this would go away. Had this issue for months years ago and it finally subsided. I have lost alot of weight too.

I know-the pain is awful. Wish I had some answers...
