I may try to get doryx since doxy is messing up my stomach so bad. I am assuming that doryx is more expensive than doxy but now that the price of regular doxy has gone up anyway it may not be that significant. My pharmacist said most people are switching to the blue caps doxy because the tabs have gotten so high.
does anyone on here know if there is a significant price difference between doryx and doxy??

And I don't know about this specific one. Just a thought that comes to mind when comparing to find the best match in all ways.
It's not enough to compare just the brand and generic - all ingredients inside and the coloring outside also need to be considered. There are various fillers used, and most may be fine (not preferred but tolerated).
However, Gluten can also be in the filler or in the coating used to make tablets shiny. Even a trace is not a good thing for anyone who is gluten-free.
Still, of course, it would be nice to have the item that is easiest on the stomach as long as additives or dyes are not an issue. -

My doctor prescribed doryx for my daughter due to stomach issues. If I remember right, the pharmacy was charging $1400 for one month supply (this was a couple of months ago). I decided that was prohibitive and we chose to continue with doxy, which has also risen in price, but not as bad. Her doxy is in blue capsules, but I think it always was?
Currently we have eliminated doxy altogether for sunny vacation and the nausea & vomiting is much better.

There is a huge difference in price.
Doxy has gone generic so is very inexpensive. Doryx with its time release is on patent.
Our insurance won't cover Doryx but we have a coupon for 4 months so it is only $25. I think the price without the coupon was $700 / month supply.
