My doctor has added Tindamax to my current protocol of Azithromycin and Rifampin. She cautioned me to start verrrry slowly.

What to expect with Tindamax? My pharmacist told me it is not a common drug and he doesn't know much about it. The pharmacy actually had to special order it for me.

I appreciate your input. Thanks.

Tindamax has been a big help to me, I've made a lot of progress due in part to this drug, I believe.

I can't remember for sure but I think I was also taking it with Rifampin...I herxed a lot on this combo, I think they both go after similar organisms so that's probably why the doc wants you to go slow.

In my case it is also killing off some parasites, which is great. But I keep the dose low because I get terrible herxes especially from parasite die-off.

I know someone whose doctor has him taking Tindamax only on weekends--I really don't know the reason but just so you know it's okay to pulse it a little bit if you need to.

Good luck!

I pulse TindaMax only two consecutive days a week for the past six months. I did start slow with 1/2 dose the first day, waited a week to go to full dose.

It hit my GI issues really hard at first. It's powerfull.. good luck.

Our daughter had some side effects such as hair falling out.

That morphed into being allergic with hives and itching which we compensated for with Zirtec.

Then once the anexoria took over we had to stop. Probably stopped too soon as she ended up relapsing.

I believe tindamax is a cyst buster? I took flagyl. Someone on this site recommended I start with a sliver of a pill and it was good advice. I herxed hard. I pulsed two weeks on and two weeks off. I definitely agree that you should start slow.

Good luck!!

Yes - Tindamax is a cyst buster. Our LLMD pulses it and has us taking it only 2 days a week.

No significant ill effects, especially compared with flagyl.

Thank you all for your responses. A couple more questions ......

My tindamax script are for 500 mg tablets. My doctor said start slow. Does that mean 1/2 of a tablet? What is a sliver of a tablet?

Also could you be a little more specific about the herxing? That's what I am concerned about. Most of you said you herxed hard. Could you share with me your herx symptoms on this med? Thank you for your time.

I did very well on Tindimax. She rotated me on different anti-parasitics. This last time she had me on 12 days on Tindamax 500mg twice a day and I did great!

Paryerworks.

We all herx differently. My Tindimax herx was intense lower abdomonal pain, diarrhea, and hot flash. It put me down in bed for several hours. I live alone and thought I was in real bad shape. Next day I was fine.

I had repeat episodes tracked at every 30 days for several consecutive months, with each occurance less severe.

Your experience may vary....

It really is a good drug and needed to wipe out Lyme cysts, and it hits other parasites.

I started with half a pill and by day three was pretty darn sick. I decided to pulse it and take it two days a week. The first 2-3 weeks those days wiped me out and the few days following off of them, but gradually i started feeling a lot better!

Tindamax is like gold to me. I have a lot left, with long experation dates, and now that I'm off all antibiotics,

if I feel like Lyme builds again, it will be Tindamax I take.
Dr. Eva Sapi's studies showed Tindamax kills cysts,

but also a 90% effectiveness in spirochetes as well.

I did 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off for 7 months (along with bicillin shots)

It took me 3 attempts to get through a solid 2 weeks on, and I pushed very hard, and on the 2nd attempt (about day 7-8 'on')

I got a massive, unrelenting migraine/ headache- even with many detox plans happening at the same time. I had to resort to pain pills during that week.

But Tindamax REALLY got junk out.

doing okay!
