So, I typically never have issues with any sort of vaginal yeast infection. However, ever since I started on Diflucan I have a lot of burning and irritation in that area. Also taking Nystatin.
Why would I be getting burning now while on Diflucan when I never had it before? Also on high high dose of probiotics and careful diet.
Could you herx in that region? Help?

I am about to start a yeast cleanse after abx and was told I could have itching there as a herx. I will be taking Diflucan and Nystatin, too.

I have experienced that as well. It was not severe and only lasted for a day or two but a few times after diflucan and oddly enough every time i dose with femdophilus I had some itching and irritation.
I have stopped the femdophilus, it seems to create problems for some reason.

Thanks soooo much. I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out what was going on. Looks like it can be a herx symptom. I will try some of the suggestions. DW

Clortimazole cream is an over the counter that helps with redness, soreness and itching. It comes with a tip for insertion but just use it as a topical cream. I find it helpful.
