Anyone have thoughts about the program? I was at the Lyme Symposium at U of NH yesterday and they offered a significant discount on up to 9 months of their product.
I'm on IV abx and have been since Oct. Finished up Babs treatment last month and switching over to treating Bart as well as Lyme.

I did 2 yrs of oral antibiotics and I am about to start Cowden. I decided to do this voluntarily as I just don't want to do anymore abx at this point. I'll have more feedback in about 9 months ... It seems to hit all fronts - bacterial, fungal, viral, co-infections, parasites, etc.

I am on month 5 and went on it in the knowledge that I am likely to need to be on it for at least a year before coming to conclusions about its success, as I have been ill for many years and also have detox issues.
When I first got the belated Lyme diagnosis, I tried a rotation of antibiotics (also Mepron) for borrelia and the 3 principal coinfections for about a year, with some Buhner herbs alongside, but did not experience improvement.
After about 18 months of supportive supplements and detox attempts rather than 'killing', I felt the need for a more antimicrobial approach and eventually settled on the Cowden Support because I felt that it did try to address each aspect of the illness with at least one herb or supplement. I also felt that, as I am quite used to herbs, it is devised by a doctor and lots of people use it, I would feel reasonably happy to follow it without an LLMD.
So far, I cannot claim to have big improvements, but I am aware that some of the herbs on the protocol do affect me, so I do have hope that i may in time get a degree of improvement from them. I found Banderol quite difficult at the beginning and took longer to reach full dose of it. Now that I have just briefly rotated back onto it, I found it much easier. Cumanda is the one I find most difficult to tolerate, but it varies according to the individual.
If you have a big problem with candida and metals, you may notice that the candida flares after the zeolite doses, especially after Zeolite HP. I take extra antifungal products and also probiotics with the protocol
When you order Month One, you are sent a day by day dosing chart and I do find it quite satisfying to tick off each dose on the chart as you take them!
Some people on the herbal group forum I belong to via Facebook are having a lot of success with Cowden, it is definitely worth considering. Doctors who have tried it with their patients say that they have found that its results compare favourably with antibiotics.

Cowden is okay for Lyme but it won't help you with coinfections.

Faithful, could you say more on Cowden and coinfections?
If Cowden is accurate when he says that more than 90% of his own patients got well (and around 90% of Dr H's patients who had previously failed on antibiotics got well) on the protocol, that would imply success with coinfections too, since surely the majority of people with borrelia also have at least one coinfection?
I cannot say from my own experience yet (I have all three common coinfections), so am interested to know more.
