I am calling my dentist today but I have a lump on the left upper roof of my mouth. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago and called my dentist. But the next day it went away, so I cancelled the appointment I had lined up for him to look at it.

It seems to have returned. There is no abrasion or bleeding with it. The interesting thing is that I have seen two different dentists in the last couple of months who have both done an oral exam and found nothing there. But at the time, I did not notice the lump.

I am hoping that it is a blocked salivary gland as opposed to oral cancer. Wondering if there is any relationship to lyme with blocked salivary glands. Has anyone here had this?

I had exactly this last week; just a random weird lump on roof of mouth...kept touching with my tongue. Same as you; no bleeding or pain or anything; just weird. It went away this past weekend. Sorry, doesn't really answer your question, but I had the same thing.

I just returned from the dentist and it turns out that the lump was part of a fistula that was related to a dental cavitation from a root canal that I had done in 2011! He took x-rays and it showed that the bone was wearing away at the end of the pulp. This could be the cause of all of my weird auditory symptoms and horrible tinnitus!

I need to find an oral surgeon who knows what he is doing and hopefully, who can use ozone. I am relieved and frightened at the same time. I would definitely get that lump checked out. I am sorry I didn't check into mine sooner.
