DS, 14, is taking Claforan and he is just about to start week 5. He is currently taking 2 gm twice daily. Does this seem right? What I read online is three times daily for dosage frequency. DS is 5'8" and weighs 195 lbs (he may even be taller as I write this).
His LLMD is very experienced with pediatric patients. His office got a dosage wrong on a med once before (not doc, but nurse), so now I am always a little skeptical.

When I was on Claforan it was twice daily. It was one of the antibiotics that made me feel better quickly. Hope that happens for your son too!

Thanks for the info. He already has more energy, but the mood problems are still with us at this time.
