I want to try MSM to see if it helps my muscle and neck/head pain.
I have read that it should be organic.
I also read in one source that it should be powder, but then read in another source that capsules are just as good.
I also read that MSM made by distillation is better than MSM made by crystallization.
Plus, I read that it should be taken with Vitamin C to boost it's effectiveness,so I'd prefer to buy a brand that has the Vit C added to the MSM.
What brand do you recommend?

Thanks, Lymetoo, I'll check out the link.

I use vitacost's plain MSM that is 1 gram per capsule. It is something like $10 for 240 capsules. My integrative doctor says high doses are perfectly safe.
I take 10 grams twice a day but also take tumeric.

I read that OptiMSM (trademarked) is the purest kind of MSM and it is made through a distillation process.
Some brands of MSM contain the OptiMSM.

Thanks Abxnomore.
From what I read, I was thinking that Bergstrom Nutrition made OptiMSM, and TriMedica makes a brand containing the trademarked form called PureMSM.

I decided to order the Source Naturals brand with OptiMSM 1,000 mg and Vit C.
The best deal was at iHerb.

I've taken that one before. Vitacost has it too. So it was cheaper at iHerb?

Yes, it was cheaper at iHerb. They had the 1,000 mg Source Naturals OptiMSM with vit c, 120 tabs for $8.39.
Vitacost had the 750 mg Source Naturals OptiMSM with vit c, 120 tabs for $10.79. They did not have the 1,000 mg with vit c.
