Flagyl about killed me too. Tindamax was a little easier but it was really hard too. I believe they are used for the same purpose. Did your dr say to build up slowly? That sounds like a lot!!!

I took 2000mg ONCE and it about killed me. I wouldn't take more than 500 mg that second night. Be careful! Do your Doc know you have LYME and that flagyl is a cyst buster?

Flagyl is the most horrifying med I been on, almost a year of balancing the high wire of FLAGYL.. mind boggling and finding new limits to my bodies limits, raising the bar. but, I must admitt its giving me a light at the end of the tunnel, that long dark tunnel of LYME, in the USA. Randibear, always in my prayers, its easy as I follow you and your honest replies, I think we may have been biten with the same strain of Lyme, & on the same day.. many shared events.

i write as i talk anymore. when i worked i was the editor of a employee magazine. used to be a great writer, but no more.
now i just want to get the point across as simply and as quickly as possible.
and lots of people, including me, just cannot process technical or even advanced discussions anymore.
so add in the texas drawl and you have-- ME!!!! and i also include what's going on in my life to give you just an inkling of how the other side lives...or copes...

Flagyl hits Lyme, Lyme cysts, Babs and other Protozoa. Naturally, we feel like crap.
Good luck randibear! That dose would probably kill me.

- Low Dose Naltrexone has shown some remarkable success for all kinds of serious colon issues.
Have you considered that yet? If not, it would sure be my number one choice, along with anti-infective treatment, of course. -

While on tindamax we were giving our daughter Zertec to counter some of the side effects.
Actually the Wallgreen generic version and maybe it will help with the flagyl.

Make sure it is the brand name Flayl and not the generic substitute. That alone can make the diference.
