"Floaters have also been linked to candidiasis, an overgrowth of the yeast-like fungus Candida albicans, and may simply be a symptom of this system-wide problem (Postgrad Med J, 2001; 77: 119-20). Candidiasis can be controlled by eliminating sugar and yeast from the diet, which is certainly a safer and simpler solution than surgery."

BB... It could be both! Lyme and candida.. or babs.
OTC.. olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, caprylic acid for starters. But none of those ever helped me.
Google "Body Ecology Diet" and start making fermented vegetables.

Uh, my floaters went away with parasite treatment (pretty sure they're parasites).

Well, I have candida and Lyme, I drank mangosteen juice, which surely had some sugar in it, and my floaters, along with the rest of my eye symptoms, disappeared in 24 hours time. I still drink it daily.
So I vote for the inflammational theory, which mangosteen juice, with its 43 xanthones in its ground-up rind, does so well to eliminate free radicals.
Unless, is it also possible that it is eliminating inflammation from candida too? Have no idea.

It's fascinating how different things work for different people.
I tried mangosteen and still had floaters. When I took parasitics they went away (they come back if I don't keep at it though).
Robin, maybe your situation is inflammation. I'm pretty sure mine is parasites though.

The best is Xango, but you can't buy it in stores. I think Robin is using Mango Xan or something like that. Do NOT buy one that does not look maroon or red. Those are not made with the RIND of the fruit.
(and make sure there is no food coloring making it red!)

I have a lot to write on this, but I'm on my phone. In a nutshell, a PVD was what started me in this medical journey that I'm still on. It also led to my Lyme diagnosis.

Messa, Xango is the pure version - many folks, including Lymetoo, swear by it! You can talk to her about it.
Me, I get a headache from it, and need a less strong version. Mango-Xan works well for me. You can find it in healthfood stores and online.

Just dilute it, Robin. It gives you a headache because it WORKS. It's probably twice as strong as Mango-Xan. Jus' sayin'!
