I always get yeast overgrowth from the abx. It is horrible for me. I get allergies ALL the time, i feel foggy, tired and itchy from it and the worst of all is i get horrible chemical sensitivities.

Diflucan helped but it did not eliminiate it. I cant do the diet because im already super thin and im allergic against too much stuff. I feel better without the diet. Trust me when i say im horribly thin.

Problem is diflucan interacts with some abx badly (for example zithromax) so i cant take it right now.

It doesn't matter how thin you are, if you continue with the poor eating, the candida will get so bad that your very life will be threatened.

I am quite thin and I MUST eat the proper diet. Absolutely MUST. No choice.

You can try oregano, olive leaf extract .. etc.. but they never worked for me. I would be taking Nystatin every single day.. for sure.

Consider adding fermented vegetables to your diet.

It's a balancing act with the diet. If you're feeding it too much starch (and sugar), you won't get rid of your yeast.

You have to cut out sugar (no choice). You also should get rid of gluten if you want to feel better (causes inflammation). Try gluten free breads and grains. Unos makes a great gluten free pizza.

Compounded nystatin really helps me (the pills did nothing for me tho). It worked for me when nothing else did.

Try eating more green leafy veggies--it really helps. Also, fermented veggies (big help too). And remember to up your probiotics. I've taken up to 450 billion (increase slowly). And the yeast herbs: Oil of oregano, GSE, OLE, berberine, pau darco, etc.

I should have mentioned that i eliminated sugar, gluten and dairy from my diet years ago. but sometimes i have to cheat a little bit, for example when i'm out and there's no proper food around.
the herbals (olive leaf, oregano) did nothing for me at all.
does corn pasta count as low carb or should i avoid it as well?
i can't have soy or dairy. fermented vegetables cause problems because of the histamine. no mushrooms, no nuts etc... so in the end what on earth am i supposed to eat?

i'm taking VSL3 as well and coconut oil.
thanks for your help

I have used 'Candida Cleanse' by NOW which has pau d'Arco, Oil of oregano, and several other

beneficial herbs. I agree that you have to cut out simple carbs--vegetables are excellent--and no

sugar to starve the little monsters out. If you need sweetner, try stevia. If you have thrush, try

rinsing your mouth with a little water in which a drop or two of tea tree oil has been placed. Do Not

swallow this! It helped me with thrush when no other remedy would.

Vegetables and proteins... that's about it. I would stay away from corn as it's almost all GMO. Try GF pasta .. but it's still going to feed the yeast.

Quinoa is supposed to be OK, but I have to be careful with that too.

Along the lines of Quinoa (keen-wa), a very complex "seed" really,

Wild Rice (a grass), and also Black Rice MIGHT work in moderation (just about 1/4 cup) yet always along with LOTS of veggies, good protein and good fats will also help carry you through.

These dark rices have a better nutritional make up and are much more complex, with protein, complex carbs and some fat, too. Nothing simple about them at all, still, you may find WILD RICE better as it's more "woody" in nature than the BLACK or RED Rices.

Do avoid all SIMPLE carbohydrates, though, as they can sink your ship.

You can enjoy a wonderful and delicious food plan and not consume any simple carb, really. The variety of textures in complex carbs, with protein and fat with each meal are what can keep you going.

(as you likely know) PROBIOTICS are essential. If you are in an intimate relationship, your partner should also take probiotics as candida can be passed, even with kissing. Don't want to keep passing it back and forth.

Olive Leaf Extract can be very helpful to also prevent candida. I found this to be amazing help that prevented candida from even developing during my last stint with doxy. Berberine can also be excellent in this regard.

There are some good recipes on the Internet for bread made with seed and nut flours, with eggs and a little gluten-free baking powder. These are very very low carbs, yeast-free, gluten-free and almost grain-free. They are actually pleasant, good for you and filling, so would help you not to lose weight on a diet suitable for candida.

Google coconut flour, flax seed flour, almond flour bread to find a selection of ideas. I am now experimenting with mine and am adding courgette/zucchini, herbs, onion etc to it, but have not perfected the recipe yet!
