Starting rifampin on Friday. Done with Mepron. Staying on the Bactrim DS plus herbals and binders.
Has anyone had any good experience with Rifampin aside from herxing? Particularly with getting rid of head pressure/heart pain?
Thanks. Im quite nervous about taking it. My liver seems to have held up pretty good so far to everything.

Rifampin was okay for me. I didn't get the typical headache herx that is common. I did have massive anxiety attacks when I first started it.
I took it for about a year and just went off. Although I didn't improve drastically on it, some symptoms got worse upon going off. It may be a coincidence so I'm being stubborn and staying off it.
It actually helped to lower my liver enzymes which I've had problems with all along except while I was taking Rifampin.

Just responded to your pm. But forgot to mention my heart/chest pain did go away on rifampin. The only time I get it now is when I increase dose of A-bart.
Good luck!!

Our daughter used a rifampin/biaxin combo for 12 months and it really helped with her deep bone pain. She had no trouble with it at all. Just remember to take your probiotics 2 hours away from abx.
