I need a little help and I'll try to keep this short.

Dx with Lyme in '08 and treated for a year and a half by LLMD with various meds. Felt well until fall of 2012.

In the fall of 2012 I noticed a rash on the inside of my elbow and made note of it. Started feeling crappy slowly and had all of the usual suspects ruled out.

Old LLMD left and area and found a new one who ran new blood work for Lyme, co-infections, auto immune stuff and yeast. Awaiting those results. Have the kit for IGenX but having trouble getting lab to do a draw. Seeing my primary (who is very supportive) to see if they will draw for me.

New LLMD has started me on Ceftin and Doxy based on history, symptoms and past effectiveness of these two meds for me previously. Also on probiotics.

I don't remember from my last treatment just how and when my herxing started. I was horribly, horribly, horribly ill. I've only been on the abx since July 1 and within a day, maybe two I started feeling really sick. Nausea, achy, weak, tired, dizzy and light headed. Is this most likely a herx reaction or a medication reaction? Interestingly enough today, day 11, I'm actually feeling pretty well and able to accomplish some simple household tasks, drive, run errands and eat.

I remember herxing really bad about every four weeks previously. Is it possible that this early reaction is a herx?
