Is anyone able to still use their various lyme tinctures that are mixed with alcohol while taking Tindomax without having some horrific reaction? I would like to be able to still use some of these tinctures.. Will tiny drops of alcohol really create a reaction???

- Ask the doctor who is treating you.
Yes, it could matter as the alcohol used in these is very strong and if you use multiple ones, you may need to wait on tinctures.
While YOUR body, YOUR reaction may vary and even one drop could be too much.
Sometimes, it may not be so much the amount of alcohol in the tincture water but the instant your brain senses that when it hits your mouth, chemical reactions in your brain can trigger other reactions in your body and it remembers alcohol and could react out of proportion to the amount - when tindamax is in your system.
Reactions can vary.
Still, some have found that it's okay - for just ONE or TWO tinctures (not sure if on a whole tincture protocol, though) - if you put the tincture in about a half cup or more of water, in a deep mug or shallow bowl, and SWIRL it to the air for a minute or so. This helps SOME of the alcohol dissipate, and also if WARM water is used (not hot)
If you give this a try, of course, start with just one tincture and a very tiny amount in a good full cup of water, timed away from Rx.
Liver support on board is also good.
If the tincture is from ROOT, all below ground, you can use hot water. If from above ground, only WARM, never hot. Hot will destroy some of the medicinal properties of tinctures made from above the ground plant parts (aerial).
Do not take at the same time as flagyl / tindamax / etc.
You might take some food in between the tindamax and the tincture water, too.
And try to get the herbs in dry extract form, when possible. There are some herbs that are only available in tincture form, though.
Some tinctures are available in a glycerine (do check out that option) but they don't last as long in summer heat so guard them from heat -- and some of the key ones for us are only in alcohol, such as Cryptolepis (for babesia).
Where there is a choice, go away from the alochol, though. -

- I know I've seen this question many times here before but nothing at all came up for a search in either the medical forum or the general forum, when searching the subject line for:
flagyl, tinctures -

- Hoping that you will get some personal experiences here. In the meantime, there are some hits you can sort through from a web search for:
I may be starting the cyst-buster Tindamax (Tinidazole) in the future, which like Flagyl, has an antabuse reaction if alcohol is taken. I dont drink, but do use some alcohol-based tinctures such as stephania and red root.
Is it okay to switch to capsules instead of tinctures while on Tindamax? I always try to burn off alcohol but am concerned about even a small amount with Tindamax.
Stephens response:
You can switch to capsules. -

I was told by my LLMD to space them apart by a few hours. I got very sick when I took both together.
As a matter if fact I had to stop all tinctures while on tin. because no matter how far I spaced the two I would get a reaction. I also could not use anything topical that had alcohol in it such as Arnica gel.

I think that everyone is different and not all have an antibuse reaction to alcohol while taking TindaMax. I recall someone posting a year or so ago saying they actually drank a glass of red wine while taking Tini with no adverse reaction.
I pulse Tini two days a week since last November. I have been taking Cats Claw tincture thru the whole time, and added Sida Acuta and Cryptolepis tintures in March. So that's at about 2 tsp of tincture twice a day, and no reaction.
Try a drop or two on a rainy Saturday to see if you are effected.
