So my issues started when I went on vacation to visit my mom in NC. Went to the ER because I have severe chest, neck, and back pains. Thought I was having a heart attack.

The EKG and chest Xray came back fine.

I came home and still having pains. Along with pains in arm, wrist, elbows, and fingers. Also have fatigue, black spots in eyes sometimes, crackly neck, heart palpitations sometimes, jaw/teeth pain, along with other weird symptoms. I went to see my PC and she didn't find anything wrong.

I am now so confused and upset because I don't know whats wrong with my body. So many stories told on this website sound like my story.

Also, a girl i used to work with went through it and was eventually diagnosed with Lyme.

I don't even remember the last time I had a tick and never remember having a rash.

I'm 26 years old with 2 young kids and I don't want to feel like this anymore [Frown] Any advice would be appreciated!

Most here never had a rash.. so that is not always a sign that you were bitten.

Do you see yourself here?

Ook, if you have s lyme support group in your area, they can be a big help. Don't get too

bogged down in the minutiae of whether or not you fit all the symptoms. The sooner you see a lyme

doc, the sooner you can get better. It is tough to have the stamina to be a parent and a lyme

sufferer. Let the housework go and focus on the things you can get done. If you are sick, you

might consider the possibility that your children may have been bitten as well. Just a suggestion.

If you have a family pet, they could be affected,

too. Not being an alarmist, just a realist. Keep talking to us here.

Yes I see myself in so many of those symptoms. Not all but a lot. I'm not afraid that I had it while I was pregnant with my chidren and passed it on to them. I think I need to see a doctor ASAP.

I am sure I passed lyme onto my daughter. I never knew I had until 25 years after I had my daughter though. I'm sure my daughter has it, but the symptoms are vague and easily explainable to anyone with no knowledge of true lyme symptoms. The key for you right now is just to treat it.

Try not to stress out. Lyme has been on the planet for thousands of years that man knows of. Ticks are part of nature. IMO, lyme and company are hitting people harder now due to all the toxins and EMFs people are exposed to (and more). Tons of people have it and are living normal lives (or what they think is normal). I had it my whole life and didn't even know I had it until a few years ago.

If you go to www.lymediseaseassociation.org they will email you some names of LLMDs (lyme literate medical docs). Be sure to pick one who is an ILADS provider. ILADs stands for the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society. They are cutting edge when it comes to lyme treatment. Mainstream medical docs know nothing about current lyme treatment. They are behind the times and stuck in their old belief system.

Call around and ask to be put on their cancellation lists, that way you will get in sooner. I did this and was able to be seen in 3 days. You will need to line up a babysitter quickly though so you can make a last minute appointment. I would also say not to limit your choice to only a doctor. The ILADS NPs, ND, etc, know just as much.

Also, welcome to Lymenet! You have found the best place for information that I've found. This site is loaded with good people and good info. Take a deep breath Ook. It's going to be okay. :)

I forgot to mention, some people do herbs or the salt/c protocol in the interim until they see a lyme specialist. I wish I had done this as well as parasite treatment. For herbs, Stephen Buhner (book, Healing Lyme). For the salt/c protocol (book, The Salt/c Plus Protocol for Lyme Infection). For parasite treatment, there is a great thread on this site called THE PARASITE WARRIOR'S THREAD.

Also, there is another great book: Cure Unknown (Weintraub). It explains the whole lyme controversy as well as the writer's experience on her path to recovery. It starts out in Framingham, MA.

I know you're anxious right now (I was when I discovered chronic lyme). It's a complete waste of time and energy though. Start learning about lyme and co infections here on Lymenet. Knowledge gives you the opportunity to get better. Also, try some yoga, or meditation to relax.

Thanks so much! This site has already helped me GREATLY. You have all been wonderful. I never knew that such a little bug could do so much. It's like for the past month, I have had a new symptom every day.

One day my fingers ache, the next my knee, then I notice my neck crackling.

However, I am also excited because I think I really may have figured out what is going on with my body. (thanks to no doctor I've seen)
