As in the past I am struggling with whole body inflammation and eye issues that went away quickly beforewith Rifampin/Doxy/Zithro which points to Bart.

Right now I am on Rocephin IV and Rifampin and just stopped Flagyl due to Neuopathy. The eyes and inflammation are are slowly getting worse while other Bart symptoms are better.

What does this point to and what are some options for me to help these painful symptoms?

Thank you.

We're all different in how we respond to remedies - for me, drinking mangosteen juice stops Lyme eye symptoms. I like the Mango-Xan version, as it's the most tart. You can find versions in healthfood stores and online.

Can you try taking Minocycline? I have eye issues too and all over joint pain (and all the rest of my Bart symptoms) whenever I stop my Bart meds. For some reason, the Mino helps me...

What are your eye issues?

My eye issues are: it becomes harder and harder to focus my eyes when I try reading, say, my computer while I'm surfing the 'net, or even just reading anything, magazine, the mail, etc., becomes difficult b/c it's hard to focus my eyes on what I'm reading. It's not blurriness but it's like I have to really look hard at what I'm reading.

Hope, you sound just like me and all went away with Doxy with the Rifampin for 14 months!!! Then when I treated Lyme again, all came back. I am prone to med side effects right now, so Mino scares me a bit. I did very well with Doxy, so I am going to see about that. I have the reading issue, same as you and scratchy, itchy sometimes, swollen and dark around eyes. Sometimes now they burn also and in the morning have lots of discharge crusted under them. LLMD thought it was partly yeasy but been on a strict diet for yeast and they are no better. Also upped probiotics and started Olive Leaf Extract.
