I have a question, the last ten or so days I've had tremors in hands and arms and increased anxiety, itching and lowered blood pressure. I just started back on Atovaq/Proguanl and Azithromycin, as I had to go off abx before my back surgery and until my body healed (about 6-8 weeks). I have been on these abx for about the same time as reactions. Additionally I tried a new diet pill that is all natural fruit extract Garcinia (as seen on Dr. Oz) and have been on these for about the same time. Yesterday and today I went off of the Garcinia and seem to be a bit better but still tremoring. I think I may have been allergic to HCA Hydroxycitric Acid that is derived from the Garcinia fruit. Side effects are noted as being mostly stomach upset or headache, can't find anything that mentions tremors. What I'm wondering is if I might have Essential Tremors because of having Neurological Lyme and any plaque on the brain due to that? I have not had this reaction the last time I was on Azithromycin and another anti viral drug Levoquin? and meleron? so don't think it's herx yet? [bonk]

Diet pills are notorious for causing tremors...most of them contain caffeine, which is especially bad for those with Lyme (taxes the adrenals and causes dehydration).

Yes I knew that I couldn't tolerate anything that had Ephedra in it before it was taken off shelves or caffeine because my blood pressure goes to high. This Garcinia is labeled as only having HCA which is extracted from the fruit and that is it. I would guess that because the product is not FDA approved nobody can know for sure what ingredients are in there. I hope that is all my tremors are being caused by, because I have never had them before.

The effect of the FRUIT ITSELF is most likely the problem.. not any "ingredients."

For example, if you drink green tea, it can make you jittery or have other effects. No other "ingredients".. just the green tea.

Same with the garcinia. I would not take it again and see what happens.

I appreciate all your comments, you were so right., I went of the Garcinia and about two days later the symptoms subsided all except my tremors. The itchy rashes the feeling of bugs crawling allover me and biting, that stuff. I seem to get tremors a couple hours after taking my AM meds, so I've something else I and my DR need to figure out, have a feeling it's the Malarone and antidepressants. Malarone is one tough drug and forgot what it was like being on it till now, lol.
