LP-I don't know.
When I had costo I had the flip flops, the fainting and the chest pain. I now believe this was heart block caused by lyme.
My ECG's were normal. And as my now ex doc said, "I don't need to give you a stress test because you play sports. That is like a stress test every week"
Is it possible you're having a lyme caused heart block?
Does your LLMD know about the flip flops?
What about side effects from the radiation? Did the nurse or doc say that was a common side effect?
I hope others will weigh in here soon.

Hi Kayak--you said it: left chest pressure, left arm numbness, and flip-flopping heart are heart attack symptoms. I take it these are unusual symptoms for you. How do you know it's not a heart attack? Don't you think you should get this checked out in an ER?

- New numbness in LEFT arm is key information. If your GP is busy, and you hate the ER, what about URGENT CARE, a sort if middle ground? But your GP may have to order that for insurance to cover it.
Even if your GP is busy, make it clear to the office manager that you need some kind help now, or very soon.
I would push to get into a doctor of some kind today. Tell them you have NEW numbness, in your LEFT ARM . . . and that you have irregular heart rhythm that you can feel.
Any other symptoms, stomach pain, sweating, light headed, etc. but keep going back to that left arm - make it clear to them this is NEW.
In the meantime, I would take an aspirin (magnesium would still be a good idea) - with a light snack to coat your stomach. Don't settle for "no" - you need to be seen.
While you wait for some call back, lie down with your neck fully supported in case this is from the neck issue.
Have someone else drive you.
Good luck. -

- I just remembered an interview I saw with someone who had been dismissed repeatedly, especially since women are affected differently than men regarding heart issues.
Finally, she kept saying to them: This is NEW & very different from any other kind of pain before. That got their attention. And it saved her life.
If you are a woman (hard to know with the web names) you might ask who on staff is better versed regarding women's heart matters. -

Ip, I with keebler. Get into the urgent care clinic. Also, if not heart attack, I am with the heart block. Rosie O'Donnell nearly killed herself ignoring her heart attack symptoms.

I wore one several times because of problems like you are describing. Make sure you keep a very good journal showing the time and symptoms you felt when you turn in the Holter. If they give you a hard time about it, ask them if they are SURE they won't find anything with a monitor. Ask them if they can guarantee that it won't pick anything up. I had a very dismissive heart doctor. When I asked these questions, it gave her pause and she decided to give me one.

If you go to ER, they may give you nitro. If the nitro works, they may admit you for observation.

today-the day after driving to doc appt-5 hrs in car and using walker and standing on and off for 6 hrs (more than usual) my left arm is still numb and in the night i woke myself up hearing noises in my left shoulder area. now that i am up there is a dull ache near rotator cuff...this is a shoulder that last november was dx with rotator cuff and frozen shoulder but PT made it much worse and it slowly came back to 80-90% with gentle use and rest.
so i will call shoulder doc today...there have been no more heart type sx...i did have a low blood sugar incident at docs yesterday but that was my fault and taken care of with peanut butter crackers...i know i know ...there was nothing else. i left my chic and appple in the cooler inthe car. stupid me.
just wanted to update those who have been so concerned
