I have been on Lyrica for several months. My nerve pain in my face/jaw is breaking through badly now.

I am on 100mg of Lyrica in the AM and 200mg PM by my Neurologist.

I was told by one of my other Drs to take 200mg in the PM and add Neurontin in the daytime (3x/day).

Has anyone else combined the 2 meds?

Whew! Not sure how you would function. I'd also worry about your liver and kidneys.

Sorry to hear about the pain!

Yeah, I just got my liver enzymes down to normal for the 1st time since last Nov.

Maybe I'm just having a flare since I had surgery. Usually Lyrica does the trick.

Your just double dosing on the same med.
Use one or the other that works.
Neurotin is an old med and is very cheap compared to lyric and may work a little better.
I use tegretol 600mg per day.
All these meds must do liver function every three months and
Tegretol levels every six months. Not sure if neurotin levels are necessary.

I never went on Neurontin. The pain subsided with the Lyrica...until tonight.

My left side of my face feels like someone is stabbing and burning it at the same time. My jaw, neck and shoulder are burning and sore on that side too.

I don't know what on Earth is causing it. Makes me wish the Drs would do surgery to see what on Earth is going on in there. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have jaw pain also. My LLMD has me on lamictal along with lyrica. He says the two work together.
