I did a coffee enema today and its been about 2 hrs and I still have a lot of abdominal cramps. Perhaps the coffee was too strong? I used my own organi c coffee in my keurig and added an additional cup of filtered water. So basically about one tablespoon of coffee to 2 cups of water. I emptied and washed out a fleet enema kit and used that. I was only able to hold the liquid for about 6-7 minutes or so. There was a lot of mucous that came out. My pain in my SI joint is better, but now I'm concerned about all this cramping. I took 15 chlorella after doing the enema.

Too strong.
The recipe I used was in one of the links from the coffee enema post.
Did you get rid of all the air in the tubing?
I will see if I can find the post and up it so you can get the recipe.

Sorry Ellen!
I just read Keurig in your post... For some reason in my mind I thought Bodum french press. OUCH!
Haha.
Probably not too strong then

Ellen, I went through the same thing with my first enema. I didn't get the air out and suffered all night. Is it possible you had some air in the bottle? Mucus is also a sign of parasites.

I think there probably was air in the bottle. I thought using a fleetbottle would make it easier, but it wasn't. I really don't feel parasites are an issue. I have had some of the best testing out there for it. I think the mucous was due to things being irritated and seems to be prettycommon with coffee enemas.

Even the best of the best have high false negative rates (check out symptoms on humaworm.com). I hope your cramps end soon.

My testing for parasites was negative and I had visible parasites when I did a parasite cleanse, so I agree from experience that parasite testing isn't the greatest.
Might be because it's your first coffee enema. I used a french press to make my coffee ... used 4 tbsp coffee to one quart of water. I found that the more toxic I was, the less time I could hold it. When I did them daily, I could hold them for the whole 15-20 min. I used an enema/hot water bottle I bought from Walgreens.
Maybe the cramping is peristalsis? Did your bowels move well regularly prior to the enema? Maybe it "woke them up" and got them to move. That can cause cramping.

As far as the parasites go I also had ART testing by someone trained in Klinghardt protocol and no parasites were picked up that way either. I know they not always are, but I feel parasites are not my issues. Not saying I don't have any as we all do, just don't feel they are the cause of my issues.
My LLNP feels the coffee may be to much for me right now and advised just doing water for now.
