Hello,

I had a severe case of lyme back in 2006 and treated one year with orals and the second year Rocephin IV for an entire year.

In the subsequent years I tend to have to treat every 18 months for three months since my initial treatment. Is there anyone else out there who is doing this??

Some of my old symptoms creep back. Not nearly as crippling but enough to make me think if I don't nip it with a three month treatment, it'll get to that point.

Would appreciate any input.

Barb

Might be better to just knock it out once and for all. It took me 4 yrs of continual treatment to get rid of Lyme and babesia.

That was 9 yrs ago.

How many months do you treat each time?

I had some real trouble with antibiotics so I would say it wouldn't be worth it to subject your body to ABX yearly (every year and a half) if you don't have to go that route.

I would do an herbal protocol of Japanese Knotweed and Cat's Claw for half the year and customize other herbs to ensure proper immune system functioning. That and an appropriate diet will allow your body to scour and trash any junk you might have.

Of course, you'd have to stay on top of your own symptoms and be aware of your body.
