Has anyone read this book?? I went to Amazon after hearing it mentioned by DrH as a guest on Katie Couric Lyme Show. There are NO ratings or comments on the book at all. Was it just released??? Thoughts???

I believe it was just released. The title sure sounds like my documentary on biofilms: Why Am I Still Sick?!

i might be wrong...im still really foggy...but i heard him summarize the book on katie and it sounded llike he was saying the same thing buhner says...in his new book

they both go about the "cure" a little differently...but the message is surprisingly the same

someone on here recently summarized what buhner says

That someone was me.

This is what I posted about Buhner's new book:

I love his approach.

Its something like this:

- Stop the inflammatory process which makes you feel so bad and allows the infections to flourish

- Modulate the immune system, so the immune system can begin handling the infection

- Use antibiotic herbs (or antibiotics) to reduce the amount of infection

- support the organs that have been affected, so they can heal

To me, its a great approach.

And he says for bartonella, the antibiotic herbs aren't really necessary, although he lists antibiotic herbs for Bart.

I'm going to keep taking antibiotic herbs for Bart (Beyond Balance Bar-I), but will add some of his other herbs for the rest of his protocol.

(I summarized this from a paragraph in his new book that I think is on the bottom of page 117.)

And yes, both healers are saying the same thing.

I think inflammation is HUGE in so many disease processes. I even read that it plays a large part in major depression.

I've seen Dr H's book in his office. It looks good (skimmed through it). I don't think it's out until November though. It covers his multiple systemic treatment approach. He told me that it's not lyme that kills people, it's all the other stuff (co infections, etc). I can't wait to get a copy. All docs are going to want a copy of his book on their shelves.

I think that is one reason he wrote it. He wanted to help the other doctors help their patients.

It's going to be truly comprehensive---over 400 pages, covering the 16 different aspects that he feels need to be considered in treatment. It's a must have when it it comes out next month (Nov. 12th, he said).

He mentioned yesterday 16 other co-infections that are part of the big picture. I got the impression that his book is about all these co-infections that keep us from getting well.

No he mentioned 16 pointers in how to make people well. His book is based on a 16 point protocol to be used as a guideline for healing.

Yes, I remember the pointer comment but I took it that those pointers were the underlining of co-infections. Because he was fighting that point so hard.

I believe this is a book I'll spend the money on.

Yes, that's true but he didn't say there were 16 other co-infections.

I've heard him talk about these 16 pointers in DVD's and from posters who have heard him speak. I think most of these we already know, but it is nice to have it all in one place for newbies and doctors who would like to educate themselves.

If you click on the Amazon link from the ad on the LymeNet website FIRST -- on the left of the screen -- then LymeNet gets a small percentage from your purchase of any books from Amazon. You may have to have cookies enabled for the purchase to be counted.

Just click on the word Amazon in the ad and then enter the name of the Dr H book in the search box on the Amazon website. Or you could click on any of the other books listed in the ad and then just type the name of the Dr H book in the Amazon search box.

As long as you order the book after clicking on the link from LymeNet FIRST the tracking should work.

I saw Dr. H on Tuesday and was able to look through his book. He talked about the 16 point system as a protocol for diagnosing and treatment.

The 16 point system is about addressing differential diagnosis that may need to be considered. He breaks down each system and associated symptom w/possible causes. It is in the form of a user friendly chart.

It is not about 16 other co-infections. That was my impression/take away.
