Anyone have this symptom? My daughter has had a few episodes where her whole body jerks, ryhymically almost like hiccups. What would cause this?

Yes, I have this sometimes. Mostly is acts up a few days after starting a new med, or when I have to recall a memory describing something.

When I go to speak to describe the memory, the jerking starts, mainly in my torso.

Sometimes it lasts for an hour or as long as half a day.

I think what you are describing is myoclonus. It is a neurological problem. Could have many causes.

And yes hubby had this problem but parkinsonian tremors were his primary movement disorder symptom.
