About 4 years ago, I started to get unexplained leg achiness. Blood work was all fine. I eventually did some acupuncture and it went away. No meds needed.

Fast forward to about 5 months ago when the leg achiness came back and now has been consistent and muscle pain has spread to all parts of the body.

Very confused, and anxious, on whether this could be lyme, anxiety or even fibromyalgia. I have no fatigue issues and sleep relatively well.

Going to try acupuncture again to see if it can help with the overall body achiness.

Thoughts? Thanks!

Before my friend was diagnosed with Lyme, she all of suddenly started having back pain.

Acupuncture helped. She believes it also kept her unknown Lyme in check at the time.

After she stopped acupuncture, symptoms started to creep back.

Not everyone with Lyme has fatigue issues. I know one person who's had it for 15 years and is one of the most energetic people I've ever met.

Most fibromylgia IS undiagnosed Lyme in my experience.

Overall body aches and anxiety are Lyme symptoms.

The leg aching was one of the first symptoms I got.

It was (mis)diagnosed as fibromyalgia.

It went away on it's own after about a year.

Now it's back. I was attributing it to bartonella but I'm 80% sure it's lyme. (the pain coincides with other lyme symptoms).

The not knowing is the hardest part. Will get bloodwork done at IGenex. I had a lyme diagnosis about 19 years ago and I've been feeling fine for 12-13 years.

Maybe, if it was lyme, it has been reactivated. Might have to go back on antibiotics. Hope not though.

This is very common with Lyme. Do you take magnesium? If so, try upping the amount you take.

I agree with Judie and Greta, Fibromyalgia = Lyme disease in many if not most cases.

I have never had fatigue and have had Lyme disease for years.

My main symptoms are migrating joint pain and muscle pain/neuropathy.

If you need futher treatment you could always try herbal protocols.

Read the book "Healing Lyme" - He also has a new book called Healing Lyme disease coinfections that has tons of great information.

In the time being take very good care of yourself with diet, sleep, stress levels basically anything you can do to keep your immune system strong.

I think everyone, especially with a history of Lyme disease and treatment should always take probiotics, probably for the rest of their lives.

Leg achiness can also be a reaction to meds. I get it from anything in the asperin family. Including low dose.
