I just started doxy. I am new here. For the first two days I felt great. Now I have the most horrific diarrhea and bloating of my life. I look 9 months pregnant.
Someone please tell me this is temporary.

Are you taking probiotics? Extremely important! Get the quality kind that need refrigeration,
and have a high count- take them a solid 2-3 hours away from your antibiotic.
Also have to stop sugar food products, and eat low/ no carb- May need to call your Dr. if the diarrhea doesn't get
better very soon- sorry.

I take ultimate flora 50 billion vaginal support (I don't need vaginal support, but I like that one b/c it has rhamnosus in it, which helps stomach virus' too, since we're heading into that season).
Anyway... I take my doxy in the morning, one pro biotic at lunch time, doxy with dinner and another probiotic at bed time (usually 2-3 hours after dinner). So 100 billion total.
I've been on the doxy for almost 3 weeks now and have only had one bout of the runs. (I've had other stomach problems with it - but not the runs!) :-)
I hope this helps!

It does sound like yeast.
I was on Doxy for quite a while - make sure you don't lay down for 30 min (better yet an hour) I burned up my esophagus and stomach!
I also take the same Ultmate Flora that SH takes as well as several other types of pro-biotics.
the low sugar (no artificial sweetners!) and no bad carb diet is a good suggestion, too.
I hope you feel better soon.
My diareah issues with Doxy were only temporary.
I wish I could say the same for the Artemisinin, Zith and Malarone that I'm currently on!
