Looking over my results- trying to remember what Dr said, but I am not sure it meshed for me.
I have a 1.1 with reference range of <=0.90 for CANDIDA ALBICANS IGG. I have many symptoms of this, but the IGA and IGM were negative.
My dr didn't seem we should treat for this, but IDK. it says right on there "levels is complicated by detection of antibodies in 20-30% of healthy individuals, and blunted antibody response in immunocompromised patients at risk for systemic candidiasis. ....should be considered within the context of clinical findings..."
DOesn't that mean it probably isn't a true reading in someone like myself? Maybe I am misunderstanding
Also..... My MYCOPLASMA PNEUMONIAE IGG is 2.47 in a range of <=0.9 again he said not to worry about that. BUt I am worried. SHould I be?
he only wanted to focus on my -sort of - low testosterone which is 22 in range of 2-45.
THanks for response!

I've been reading Buhners book on myco.
According to the studies he's referenced lots of adults have mycoplasma.
BUT when it is combined with other infections, or in immunocompromised patients, mycoplasma hinders recovery.
I'm surprised your doc didn't mention to you that doxy helps myco, also other abx.
Maybe the abx you are on currently, kills myco also. I will check the book when I get home.

I'm on azithromycin. Thanks Greta. I had reaction to doxy, but I knew it helped way more than azithro.

I was switched from doxy to Zithromax because of the pneumoniae mycoplasma. From what I understand Greta is correct that combined with other infections the mycoplasma infections are more of a problem. I'm trying to recall if there is a connection between the mycoplasma pneumonia and yeast. Maybe someone else can answer that.

Lisa-I can't find it in the book. Can only find the herbal protocols.
But it does say that myco is gram-Positive, so abx that are effective on gram-Positive bacteria should be effective.

Nearly everyone has some amount of yeast overgrowth... especially if they've EVER taken steroids or antibiotics or eaten tons of sugar (or even without the sugar!)
If you have that test result and symptoms of yeast, then your Dr would be smart to TREAT. It will only get worse.

thanks people.
I had a smart Dr about 10 years ago. SHe tested me for all kinds of stuff (not lyme). I specifically remember that I had no beneficial flora in my gut.
I have been trying to get that right ever since and it has been hard, but there are times I did eat sugar and sometimes a lot of it!
Now, I am trying to not consume it at all and this is hard for me, but I see the importance of it. So I am trying.
