I get some burning with Mega Zymes, so looking for another alternative at a reasonable price.

Enzymedica's Acid Soothe - it's one of the only ones that's safe for those with stomach ulcers (no HCl).

I do a combo of DGL before meals and then Similase GFCF with meals (away from probiotics).

If you get burning from this product and you are taking just the recommended dosage I would be concerned that you might have an ulcer. These should not burn your stomach.

Digest Gold was OK with my very sensitive stomach.

Carmen.. I do not have an ulcer and yet was unable to take digestive enzymes for several years. I finally found Digest Gold and am able to tolerate it.

Zymex II by Standard Process was also a "go" for me.. but not as effective, I don't think.

Now Digest Platinum

I am finally digesting kale!

TMI?

I ran out and used a drug store brand...big mistake-gave me terrible nausea.

Digest Platinum by NOW brand is the best most helpful digestive enzyme I've found. I started taking it when I had a horrible bleeding stomach ulcer.

It is gentle enough not to bother my stomach yet still effective to assist with hard to digest foods. It just works amazingly well and I can not tolerate most foods without it.

My enzyme product, Marcozymes has a warning not to use if you have a stomach ulcer and if so that should be treated first. Mega zymes from Naural factor has betaine HCL in it. Any product that has HCL could cause buring if the lining of the stomach is raw or has an ulcer. Id say its pretty unusual for a stomach to burn from taking enzymes unless something is wrong.

DD takes the Pure Formulas Digestive Enzymes:

http://www.pureformulas.com/digestive-enzymes-ultra-90-vegetable-capsules-by-pure-encapsulations.html#sthash.GFTywBhu.dpbs

She also takes Bastyr Formula B, an herbal formula that helps heal the gut:

Both are reasonably priced, and I highly recommend both supplements.
