My doctor gave us a $700 test from Realtime Labs for mold test as our house was remediated for spergillus a few years ago. As this is quite expensive could some of you speak to whether mold treatment had any dramatic effect on improving your health?
Thanks

I have this questions as well. we just found that we have mold behind some walls in our apartment ( right where I sleep actually) - I heard of ozone and ultraviolet machines that are expensive and claim to kill mold- do they really work from your experience? thanks :-)

Ultraviolet will only work if it is in direct contact. Ozone might penetrate cracks... but really, if it is inside the wall the wall needs to come out and be replaced and the source of the moisture allowing for it to happen needs to be taken care of.
It might be better to just move if you dont own the property.

nothing really kills mold. it might make it go dormant. but when conditions are right it can come back unless you remove it.
i had attic raw lumber dry-iced...it is supposed to dig down into wood as far as mold roots go and destroy them so that is considered permanent
i have an industrial ozone machine and use it with a hepa air filter after removing all visable mold. i also keep temp and humidity where mold wont grow.
my symptoms are down...and i dont need meds.
you have to be very careful with ozone-it kills people, pets and plants so you have to leave area and air out before you come back
anything that says it kills mold really means it makes it go dormant. the only way to kill it is destroy it..
when i read this title i thought it was about treating your body for mold...i wonder how well that works...it has been hard for me to figure out how to do that

I would for sure move if in an apt. (don't own) and there was mold in the walls.
Having said that, this next part is just our experience: My daughter and I started w/ an LLMD who was VERY
into the mold protocol- my goodness we spent thousands of dollars, and only had a tiny mold problem in the garage- had it correctly fixed-
Anyway- the whole testing, 'bad HLA gene' got in the way of proper Lyme and co- infection treatment-
we left and went to a Burrascano type LLMD. my point is: it MAY be helpful, but be very careful about the money you spend.
I have regrets, and yes, I was vocal and expressed my opinions on not following the Dr. protracted mold protocol, but was really pushed on it.
I don't think it helped us at all.
