Bicillin shots 3x s week =lumpy sore butt. I use heating pad after injection.

Any suggestions to alleviate either or both.

This is 5th week. Not certain what's next on the menu.

Jan.6th getting results on all tests. With all my history, my LLND is speculating its Lyme with coinfections. [Frown]

Have you iced the area before the shot? I remember holding a bag of ice to prep the area before the shot.

Is ice better than heat? If so...I will be freezing my cheek!

I actually iced right after-
Sat right on an ice pack for 20-30 minutes,

my LLMD's office showed me this.
Never had a lump, bump, or soreness afterward.

I had 7 months of shots. My caretakers would ask...so how is your azz doing?

Ehhhh, I replied. The pain is nothing compared to what I get from Lyme. Toward the end though it really was sore to the point where I just wanted to stop though, especially since it was no longer helping me.

It did clear up many symptoms during the first 6-8 weeks though. I wished that I had gotten it sooner & not a year & 1/2 later.

I did ice both before and after. A bag of frozen edamame was just the right size and worked perfectly.
