Evening all! Do any of you drink any of these detox teas on the market?
I read about all different detox teas. There are a billion types of available.
So I was looking for recommendations and/or experiences from anyone that's tried them.
I found one with Pu-erh tea, mate leaf, guarana seeds, chamomile, peppermint leaf, garcinia cambogia, fennel fruit and anise fruit.
Another with black elder fruit, hawthorn fruit, nettle leaves, chicory root, knotweed herb, lovage root, dandelion root, rosehip peel, swag flag rhiozome, flaxseed, peppermint leaf, fennel fruit, orange peel, garcinia cabogia, chamomile.
I don't even know what half this stuff is.
Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!

I make my own. I get bulk herbs from the health food store or mountainroseherbs.com (not affiliated, they just have everything I use).
My tea blend is dandelion root, nettles, thyme, euphrasia, and mint. I've been drinking it for years and do MUCH better on it. I make a strong brew and let it soak covered overnight.

I used dandelion root tea (think root is roasted, it comes in bags) for a condition some years ago. It is calming and is a great detox for the liver.
I still use it occasionally. Not bitter, and very calming. I need to get back to regular use now that I have lyme.
All you do is spoon a tablespoon or so into a cup, pour in boiling water, then after it steeps a few minutes, pour it through a strainer into another cup.
If you want the source, I can look at one bag.
It is specifically a liver detox, all by itself.

- I drink at least 6 cups of various teas a day. I find it very enjoyable and I do know it helps me in various ways. I don't use tea bags as I feel the loose tea provides so much body, and much more tea is used (although I can get 3 cups from 2 tsp. of loose tea).
Tea bags often contain added "natural flavor" which is often really a chemical.
I would not buy or take anything marketed as a "detox tea" (so much of that is a marketing ploy)
but I would study the remarkable health benefits of tea and then lean toward those with well-rounded benefits from clean sources . . . and also see the chapter on "how the liver works" in the "One Earth Herbal Sourcebook" link here:

You guys are rock stars! Thank you so much for this!
I want to do things as naturally as possible and since I love tea so much anyway, I figured this is a great way to go. :-)
