I'm not new to Lyme treatment but I have never treated yeast aggressively because I don't really have a huge problem with it.
I started Nystatin which I've taken before. In then past it was like water. No problems taking it. This time after two doses I feel like I have the flu. Achy, feverish, sore throat, etc.
Next week I take Diflucan daily for a few weeks. I have had issues with elevated liver enzymes in the past and am currently having uncontrolled heart arrhythmias despite beta blockers and other meds. How will I know if any heart symptoms I have after starting diflucan are my normal symptoms or the dangerous heart side effect of the drug?
What was your herx like on this and how much did you take?

Seems like a lot of us are on the yeast fighting bandwagon. I've been feeling awful since on diflucan. I had no outward signs of yeast till I started treating it- now my muscles are screaming!!

I had tight facial pain all over my torso from Diflucan, and crying episodes, and a weird breathing spell. It was from 100mmg, 1x day. I think Diflucan hits other stuff besides yeast.

My former LLMD had me take 1 100mg pill every 3 days.
The first time I took it I felt like I was having a major relapse.
I waited almost another year before I took it again earlier this week. No problem. I will probably take it again tomorrow.
Also, I followed advice from a book I read from the F to F, Dr. T. on kicking the sugar habit. He wrote that you need to cut back on sugar first, use olive leaf, oil of oregano, garlic, and/or a few other herbs to kill the yeast for about a month before you introduce the Diflucan.
I have also been on nystatin while taking abx.
This advice certainly helped me tolerate the Diflucan.
I was losing my sense of smell and my LLmd had recommended I take Diflucan.

Okay thanks. My dosing is quite a bit higher, but one of main problems seems to be that I don't absorb anything normally. Medication and food so maybe that's why I need to go higher in dose.
My main fear is that I won't be able to recognize long QT or Torsades in the rare instance that they did occur from Diflucan. I already have uncontrolled arrhythmia's as a Lyme symptom. I see a cardiologist but he assumes it's just SVT (although he has never heard it himself or seen it on an EKG while it's occurring). So all he does is raise the dose of my beta blocker every time.
I don't know why I'm so nervous lately about everything. I never used to hesitate to try things and I always preferred to treat as aggressively as possible.
