Were you tested for any coinfections as well?
Also did you have any other bloodwork return abnormal?
Your symptoms could very well describe some of my lyme and also some of my bartonella symptoms.
Have you found an ILADS trained doctor or a lyme support group in your area?
Cheers.

- Your "doctor claims you do not have lyme."
[You are seeing the wrong kind of doctor to be so easily dismissed.]
Your "test was equivocal" with "positive IgM 23"
Your tick exposure and physical symptoms, with that test result are pretty clear, actually, in favor of lyme. Babesia should also be assessed, for a start.
See the Western Blot explanation - and other diagnostic considerations - here:
WHY you need an ILADS "educated" or "minded" Lyme Literate doctor (whether MD or ND, or both) - starting with assessment / evaluation for lyme, OTHER tick-borne diseases, and other chronic stealth infections - and all that goes along for the ride.
Medical "models" explained here, as to differences in the ISDA & ILADS models of assessment & treatment - and exactly why it is so very important to know the differences. -

- Get your own paper copy of that test sent to your home. Be sure you get all pages of it.
Tell the clerk at your doctor's office that you just find it best to save all your tests at the time for reference.
Do not explain that you need to see if any other bands are at all "lit up." Still, even just one band can be relevant, even if it very faintly appears. My guess is that there could be other bands that registered, too, but you weren't told about them.
Still . . . no test can prove you don't have lyme. Further diagnostics should help. -

- Seems that you are in Northern California (which is a lyme endemic area, but most regular doctors do not know that).
This fabulous advocacy and lyme education organization is based in California. Connect with them:

Thank u for the responds. Umm Band igm p23was present and abnormal. No other bands showed up on my test.
I have been to 5 diffrent Md doctors and all claim I dont have lyme.
I see a llmd in 3 weeks to see what she thinks.
I have had over 15 diffrent symptoms sence aug.also my calcitriol vitamin D being super high. But no answers for any of it. All of my blood work other than that came back normal.
I have been dizzy and off balance for about 3 months got a mri.they said its sinus infection.
ct scan of my abdomen cuz I have a small mase on my right side they thought appendix but it came back normal.
I have had a x ray of my lower back from hip pain but came back fine too.

Hi - many doctors think that even one positive Lyme band is enough - ie, band 23 in your case.
Treatment happens in three areas - kill/deter the organisms, detox, and fortify the body. It's good when doctors do bloodtesting, which can also show them which systems need bolstering.
You can use the Search function at the top of the page here and type in any word or phrase and archived threads will come up that you can read through.
Just know that all of us are unique in how we respond to treatments.
