Looking for insight on taking Ketek versus Azithromycin? Very sick so need to be on 6 antibiotics and need to do whatever is most effective but also concerned about harmful side effects. Any helpful guidance on risk vs potential benefit of one over the other. Thanks.

Ketek is Dr. B's favorite oral ABX. One should have a liver test about a week after starting the treatment.

I am starting Ketek next week. It was difficult getting my insurance to partially cover it for 60 pills.

I am replacing the Minocycline I am currently taking.

I haven't been able to get Ketek anywhere. Have you found a pharmacy that has it?

within hours of my first Ketek years ago, my brain fog cleared enough that i was able to go to a New Year's party and not feel out of body and helpless…that being said we monitored my liver functions for months, and i wasn't on it that long…i don't think it did much for my other symptomology, but for the brain fog, it was wonderful

Call some small local pharmacies to see if they will order it. My LLMD warned me up front that some of the larger pharmacies couldn't get it from their vendors. Most have found it at small local pharmacies.

I just started Ketek and Costco ordered it for me.

I finally got Ketek from Walgreens after they found a distributor in Kentucky. They were not able to find it in the northeast.

Ketek got rid of my borellia b. I did two months of doxy and then about 4 months of ketek, took a break and then another month or so of it.

That was back in 2008. It has been so long ago it is hard to remember the exact details. I took tindamax too - off and on. I had trouble tolerating chemicals so I needed breaks.
