Has anyone experienced super sensitive skin issues with Lyme. I have been on ABX for years but at times I do experience these burning skin problems, typically in my legs and feet. I also see that Candida symptoms list this as well. Any ideas what this could be from and how to get some relief. My Lyme MD wants me to start Bicillin shots in addition to Biaxin which I am currently taking. Watching my diet diligently regarding sugar and yeast producing foods. Any info would be appreciated.

I still say yeast. Make sure your on max nystatin or diflucan. And or herx. This happens to me, somehow my stomach is involved too. That's why I say yeast.

Could be yeast or Lyme. I have neuropathy like that in my legs and feet, even when I have been off of abx and on herbs for as long as 9 months.

For me it's Lyme.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like a "catch 22" as usual. My big concern is starting the bicillin shots and adding more ABX to the system. Taking probiotics and diflucan to try and manage yeast as well. Seems like a vicious cycle and very discouraging.

Our daughter had burning skin sensations while on IV Zith.

Hope you feel better.

Have you been diagnosed with neuropathy?
Because this sounds like nerve damage, which happens with Lyme.

I found that a good B100 vitamin and sublingual B12 (methylcobalamine) helped me.

I'm allergic to sulfa and any sulfa-based antibiotics makes my skin burn and my face swell up. I can't take biaxin because of it.

I also got pressure-induce urticaria after getting lyme (painful skin, welts with pressure from things like a bra strap, can't wear anything elastic, rashes, etc....).

For me its systematic inflammation, cytokine problems, and a mast cell problem thrown in.

I just started bicillin a few weeks ago. The shots are painful, but I've had more progress than I had the last 4 months on just on orals.

For me, binders helped my skin. I take Toxin Absorbmax an hour away from everything (worked up to 3 pills all together).

This is my second time treating Lyme and I wish I took this the first time around. My skin was a mess before and this along with a tea I make helps it a bunch.

I can send you the tea recipe if you need it.

I also just got 23andme testing and that helped a lot with determining what helps with detoxification/methylation and what doesn't. After I ran it through health analysis sites, it made sense why some typical suggestions don't work for me.

I also take B6 (along with B12) which did help with my neuropathy.

I had also taken Alpha Lipoic Acid in the past which was suppose to help also, but noticed no difference, so stopped since it was pricey on top of all my other "must take" supplement list.

My neuropathy is now mostly gone, with only minor tingling and burning left in my feet, after four years in treatment.

good luck, it will improve as you get well.

or parasites
or nerves (neuropathy)

I think it's difficult to know. Treating infections is what fixed it for me.
