But I dont know anything or anybody who has tried them do you?

Treats burns I know but whether or not I want to put it in my stomach is something else.

It should really help. You might get better results from aloe in liquid form. I like George's brand because there isn't any citric acid in it like most.

The citric acid is counterproductive. Aloe is very soothing and healing.

Vitacost and Swanson's carry the George's or you can buy it locally at any good health food store.

Hi Randi, Never heard of the aloe vera coming in capsule form. Like LT said, you might want to try the liquid form.

It's supposed to be very good and worth a shot. It never did help my DD with her GI sx, which were very severe.

Hi Randi. Long before Lyme...After a Crohn's disease Dx. My pcp told me to start taking GNC aloe capsules. One a day. With fish oil. Next colonoscopy, no evidence of Crohn's. I suspect the Crohn's was Lyme or Bart. But I still take my aloe cap everyday. I also have not had a bout of diverticulitis in a very long time.

Hey thanks kudz...

Right now im trying anything and everything to avoid colon surgery. I met with a surgeon last friday and he said a minimum of 6 inches and 21 at the most.

I know with my lyme it would almost kill me.

He said my last attacks showed no inflammation on the ct scan and bloodwork was all normal.

My gastro is really pushing this but im terrified. And stress is really bad for everything.

aloe isn't going to cure anything... but it is soothing. and it cleans you out. It does promote loose stools... But I think it helps keep the colon clean. I really don't know anything, not a doctor, but I do know I have kept using it. one of the few supps I do use religiously.

There's a really good brand of pills. I think it's called Aloe Fields.

I know someone who said it "cured" her Interstitial Cystitis. So I know it is good stuff. (and the lady is a friend of mine... I know she wasn't lying!)

I use Wal Mart aloe vera gel capsules for irritated bladder ( I C ) or gut issues. IT IS GREAT! It is soothing and protective of ALL mucous membranes. It even helped when I had chest or lung irritation. I find it very beneficial and I prefer the concentrated gel capsules and take 2-3 at a time. I have no problems with it.

HOWEVER , there is also a formula called leaf and latex that can give loose bowels if more than one capsule is taken .Most formulas are simply concentrated gel , not leaf and latex, which I would avoid.
