So I have this strange symptom where I'm very sensitive to sunlight. I get really spaced out, and dazed and derealization sets in. It feel like I'm in a different reality or something.
(note: I have a lot of cognitive dysfunction from all this in general but I get MORE foggy and spaced out in the sunlight, especially when it's very bright.)
But when I'm inside or in the shade I see normal. This has been going on for a few years. I also had horrible derealization (at all times, In sunlight or not) when I first got sick but it went away with antibiotics.
I'm currently seeing a naturopath who does ART testing and she says I do not have any more bugs (lyme or bart for me) in my brain. She doesn't know what is causing this, however.
I have an appointment with her next week and I want to bring up some new ideas that could be causing it.
Any thoughts about what this could be if it's not the bugs? Or you disagree with her and think it definitely is a symptom of the bugs?

Just wanted you to do some research on a supplement called GRAPINE. I read recently that it is like an internal sunscreen.

Even though she's open-minded, I would seriously consider getting a second opinion.
I worked with a Naturopathic doctor for several years, she was great but eventually we reached the end of the road with her diagnostic/treatment options. She was very open too, but everyone has there limits on approaches and knowledge.
I eventually had to seek out other opinions and it paid off. I still keep the ND in the loop for some things though.

I met someone once who couldn't even go out in the sun. For her it was mold.

Are you taking any antibiotics? I think it is doxycycline that is supposed to make you very sensitive to sunlight, not sure.
Amygdalin foods including apple seeds helped me with brain fog.
Someone who had filarial worms said it made her feel like she was looking through things underwater, when they were most active. She took Ivermectin (don't know what that is) for them, and still has to take it occasionally, when she gets that underwater eye symptom.

my eyes have this problem and it ahs gotten better with treatments, but still comes and goes with intensity.
do you have any other visual symptoms?
Sometimes when I go outside and then in I can't see for a little while because of the adjustment period, or if I look at something bright and look away I get that "flash bulb" burned in light thing
so when I look at other things I see the outline or "burned out" image of the bright thing.
I wish I knew what exactly helped or causes it, sorry

Every time my babesia came back, so did sunlight sensitivity. For me, babesiosis clearly caused me sunlight sensitivity.

I haven't been able to hop out of the 'derealization' world but apparently when the bugs were quiet it was neurotoxins and heavy metals. Oh mold too. Until the mold was under control couldn't get to anything else.
Working on those this symptom has lifted a bit but not 100%. Definitely still have a tough time as soon as I step outside.
