Daisy-I'm not certain, as I have not taken Flagyl personally (only tinidazole), but others have mentioned Flagyl sometimes causing neuropathy.
I always thought neuropathy was numbness and tingling and weird electrical sensations in limbs, hands and feet.
I'm sure others will chime in soon.
Do you by any chance have a print-out from the pharmacy about the potential side effect of Flagyl?
It might list the specifics on there.
Not sure what one should do if Flagyl causes this. Hopefully it will say what you should do on the printout, or hopefully your LL gave you a contact number in case of medication side effects.
Also, not sure what other meds you are on, but I get this in my hands from a med called topiramate.
When do you see your LL next? Is there an office number or email so you can mention about this new symptom?

Sorry I meant to add, I'm on IV rocephin also, but don't get this in my feet as a side effect from the rocephin.
Which leads me to think maybe it is the flagyl that is causing this for you?

I did not have hot flashes, but tingling and burning that started in the feet and after 6 infusions, it went to my arms, hands, face, etc. Sounds like my Flagyl experience, but I cannot tell you for sure.
