I am looking into getting a sauna for detoxing. I wanted one where you sit in this tent like thing with your head out. First do I want a far infared sauna, and second there are so many brands out there, does anyone know of one that's not made in China and is not made of PVC or any other hazard produts? Thank you

Yes, they're excellent for helping with detoxing. You sit in it till you sweat, for me about a half hour, then stay in another 5-10 minutes, then shower off warm and cool.
I also take Takesumi activated charcoal, which helps with internal detoxing.
Don't know the answer to your Q about where they're made. I got a used one from friends that had already outgassed a bit. If you don't want to be exposed to outgassing, an idea is to get a used one from someone on eBay, etc.

I got both of mine on EBay new for under $200.00
Not sure where they were made, though.....
I've been using this type of sauna for years and feel so much better when I use it.
I go for 30 to 35 minutes at 140 degrees. I pat down once I start sweating and then shower after a short cool down period (being sure to mop up my sweat when I get out)

Therasage has a good one that is about 500-$600 that has a store in Florida that will warranty them and will answer questions by phone.
Also it is low in emf's, compared to some other ones. I think it is still made abroad somewhere, but you can get lots of help if needed from their store (you can visit if in Fla.), and if defective, I think they said you can return it to their store, as it was shipped to me from there.

I as well as many here got the $200.00 one from national pools. It depends what your budget is. Yes you do want the IFR sauna for deeper penetration.
The important thing as another poster pointed out is to take internal detox things such as charcoal or liquid bentonite clay. Many think sauna is just about sweating out toxins but lots of toxins get dumped in your bloodstream and can make you feel crummy. Don't forget lots of water also.
I had to start out with short timed saunas at cooler temps and had to sauna in the evening as it would wipe me out at first. Depends how toxic your body is.

BE CAREFUL!!!...heat intensifies most meds...good
and bad.
We recently had a man die in our community hot tub. He was very likely on meds (post op for back surgery a few weeks prior).
It is very important to take a shower (cool) right afterwards.
The heat-cold...heat-cold is an immune booster (which is why some people sit in infrared saunas and then go romp in the snow).
When we had a bigger house and a 3 car garage, we had a far infrared sauna in our garage. I researched it in depth 'cause those saunas (Lux) are expensive. Putting it together took my son and husband all afternoon.
Some health clubs/alternative med. places have them you can use which maybe more cost-effective.

Has anyone recorded how hot they were able to get their body temp during & after sauna?
I was able to reach 104 just from my hot baths. After wards I go straight to bed & wrap myself up in synthetic blanket & maintain 102-101 temps for another 30-40 min.
