I am having major flare and am on day 3 of menses. I have had lyme. & co for many years, in tx since 2011 and my head feels as if it will explode. It feels swollen and hot in the back.

I am on minocycline , Zithromax, plaquenil, malarone, probiotics, Phosphatidyl choline (I think this is part of the problem- I just started two days ago with beyond balance bab-3. Only 2 drops.

I took everything today but not the bab-3.
Also took NSAID but no relief.

I feel I need to go to the ER - I am very unstable and having massive rages at home but I know they won't do anything snd will call me crazy.

LLMD said try NSAID again and cold or warm compresses to back of head. I feel it's the babesia flaring but I can barely tolerate any meds or herbs. Everything sends me into a flare after a few days.

I have tried detoxing earlier today by walking rapidly and taking a warm shower.

Is there anything I can take that will take this feeling away?

Thank you in advance for your help. I haven't had this happen for a long time.....

I am so sorry your going through this .
I have over the years found myself in this situation. I had a Lyme friend save me via email.
This sounds simple.

But he talked me through just laying down and taking slow breaths on through the nose and out through the mouth ever so slowly.

For pain when Nothing is take edge off it is actually quite effective. As well emotionally when your tense and afraid.

Then hydration
Make sure you have enough water
The main thing that herxing needs is hydration.

Last I would suggest coffee ememas.
It purges the liver and anything you just pushed through that may be toxifying you acutely will be purged through the liver and intestines and coffee enemas accelerate tealease and pushes it out through your body and cleanses and also hydrates too.

If you haven't done them before it could be a process to learn but it's well worth it. If you don't have stuff to do it even Walgreens has a basic enema bag and instructions all over Internet.

Thosse are things that have rescued me from that feeling of too much herx or side affects in my worst days.

Hope you feel better.
Good luck.

Of course. Go to ER if you feel you need to.
What helps there I believe is saline drip
Hydration

But I have no idea what your overall medical status is. Listen to your body. Sounds like you know the culprit and need to get over this hump

Blessings to you.
Feel better.
Spring.

Try the breathing first.
Slow and easy for a good fifrteen minutes or half hour.
Oxygen also helps so much when body is in distress and pain

Getting through the hump of severity is key when it gets bad.

Good info from springshowers!

Also try a nice warm bath in Epsom salts. You could also try drinking lemon water all day to help detox.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Cool compresses or alternate warm and cool compresses on the back of your head where it feels hot, may help stimulate release of the blocked lymphatics & toxins.

If you have peppermint essential oil, dilute it 50:50 with olive or coconut oil and apply a drop or two to the area where you feel the pressure/heat. Peppermint is cooling and anti-inflammatory.

Some find help from herxing by taking Alka Seltzer Gold.

Other suggestions above are good, too...

Spring showers had some great thoughts with the breathing and also enemas etc.

Other ideas:

Try a binder like activated charcoal or bentonite clay.
Take it away from all meds.

You are doing a great job of being aware of the causes of how you are feeling. You could try to get out the rage perhaps by drawing, painting or dancing.

Sending you healing thoughts!

Thank you all so very much for your kind and loving words. For some reason I just saw your replies this evening.

I was able to speak to my llmd and he suggested a few of things you mentioned.

I also got ahold of my therapist so she talked me down too.

I am so toxic I think do the end as are actually on my list to try. I do drink lemon water all day but prob need more. Epsom salt baths make me herx badly but maybe a warm bath would help.

The peppermint oil sounds like it would help too.

Again thank you all so very much. Have a nice evening. Hugs...
